Chapel Service
You are invited
to join us for our weekly chapel service this Thursday, February 27th,
from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. As always,
families and friends are invited to come join us in starting our day with our
Lord.
The Alaska WELS
Grand Prix Pinewood Derby is this Sunday, March 2nd at 5:00 p.m. You still have time
to participate. We have car kits available at a cost of $6 (Price includes
$1.50 entrance fee), or purchase your own from somewhere else and join us
Sunday for an afternoon of racing, fellowship and fun. See Mr. Schneck if you
would like to purchase a car kit.
Co-Ed Indoor Soccer practices this week on Tuesday,
February 25th at St. John’s United Methodist Church.
On Thursday, February 27th
the team will participate in their first rally (game) night at Lumen Christi from
4-7 p.m. Players, please remember to wear black
shorts for games, and bring their shin guards and a water bottle to practices
and games.

Grades 3-5 will be visiting the Loussac Library on
Friday, February 28th. Students are asked to remember their library
cards and any books that are due.
Our next BOXTOPS FOR EDUCATION deadline is February 26th.
Please
bring in any boxtops you have collected by that date.
PLEASE HELP US KEEP OUR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES SAFE.
We have had some
close calls in our parking lot recently. Parents, when driving in to drop off
your child, please be aware of students and others walking in from the parking
lot.
Students being
dropped off should be dropped off by the church entrance. They can then walk
back to the school entrance from there. PLEASE
DO NOT STOP TO LET YOUR CHILD OUT IN FRONT OF THE HANDICAPPED SPACES AT THE TOP
OF THE SIDEWALK. This forces children to walk around your vehicle when they are
coming in, and some are not much higher than the front of your car. The best
practice: please park and walk your child in, especially if they are in the lower
grades. Please, let’s all work together to keep our school family safe.
The deadline is
coming up for ordering school yearbooks! The deadline for ordering yearbooks with
customized pages is Friday, March 7th. The cost for a yearbook is $9.99. This includes optional customized
pages with your own photos. Parents can also upgrade to a hardcover book for
$6.95 more ($16.94 total).

are the detailed directions for ordering yearbooks and customizing pages.
Sheila Lillo is also planning two opportunities for parents to get help with
customizing pages and purchasing books. She will be available at the school on
Saturday, March 1st from 11:30a.m. -1:00 p.m. and Friday, March 7th
from noon -1:30 p.m. Parents can bring digital photos on a cd or portable
memory and use our computers, or bring their own computer and log on here, and
Mrs. Lillo will help them through the process. If you have any questions,

Toddler Time is an hour of
educational activities, structured play and a snack for children ages 0-5 and
their caregivers. Toddler Time meets on Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m. in the Faith
fellowship hall. For more information contact Mrs. Cara Ewings at 792-9388.
Mrs. Ewings is also
looking for someone to assist with Toddler Time. Do you have some
free time to give to these little ones? Please give Mrs. Ewings a call.
