This summer a group
of teens from Faith Lutheran Church have the opportunity to attend this year’s
WELS International Youth Rally in Knoxville, Tennessee in June. This rally allows
our young people to interact with fellow believers from around the United
States and the world as they come together as believers to learn and grow in a
variety of workshops on faith, music, sports, relationships and Christian
living.
In
order to help fund the trip several events are planned:
SPRING PARKING LOT
SALE
Camp
Luther and Faith PTF are allowing the teens to run our spring parking lot sale,
scheduled for Saturday, May 31st. Faith teens are asking for your
donations! They are willing to pick up your gently used items as donations for
the sale. Do you have junk to get rid of? They will take that too and gladly
haul it away for a free-will donation. They may even be able to arrange some
spring cleaning help for you. Contact M. Schneck at 331-7761 and they will
arrange for some delightful and energetic teens to serve you.
PARENTS’NIGHT OUT
The
Faith teens will be helping Mrs. Henry to run the last Parents’ Night Out on
Friday, May 9th from 6-9 p.m. Take the opportunity for a little
break while the teens keep your child entertained.
The
teens have some other events planned as well and appreciate your prayers and
encouragement as they work to attend this special event!
There will be a
group meeting to do our part to make Anchorage shine this Saturday.
Faith Lutheran
Church and School manage a section of roadway to keep clean along Earthquake
Park as part of Anchorage’s Adopt-a-Road
program. Would
you like to participate? It only takes an hour. They will be meeting this
Saturday, May 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Earthquake Park. (Teens and
adults only, please.) Please speak to
Kathy Hester for details.
