New School Year Items

Dear Parents of Faith Lutheran School -

The first day of school is just around the corner!
As we approach the start of the school year, we want to remind you of a few important dates as well as some other items:

Important dates:

MONDAY, AUGUST 18  from 4:30-6:45 p.m. will be our OPEN CLASSROOM NIGHT. Students and parents can come in to meet the teacher, pick up their school uniforms, and take care of any enrollment paperwork issues if needed so that everyone is ready to "hit the ground running" on the first day of school!

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 20 is our FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. The school day begins with our opening chapel service at 8:30 a.m. Parents and friends are invited to attend this opening service. Please make sure that your child is at school by 8:20 a.m. so that they have time to settle in before the day begins. It will be a full day of school, so classes will dismiss at 3:30 p.m. as usual.

On WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 27 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. we will hold our mandatory PARENT MEETING to discuss our school year, policies and procedures, as well as answer any questions. This is a required meeting, so please plan accordingly to make sure that your family is represented.

Some other items:

Immunization records and proof of a current TB test need to be submitted to the school for all students entering Kindergarten or 7th Grade, as well as all students new to our school, unless you have already done so. These can be brought, emailed, or faxed to the school office at any time (Please call ahead to make sure there is someone in the office if bringing them in person.) or you may bring them to the OPEN CLASSROOM NIGHT. If you have any questions, please contact Principal Schneck.

Please make sure to complete your child's enrollment through TADS if you have not already done so. If you are having difficulty accessing your account, please contact Principal Schneck.

Extra uniform purchases, milk fees, and sports fees will all be handled through TADS as well this year.
If you ordered extra uniform shirts, please expect to see the charge on your TADS account after you receive them.
Instead of selling milk cards, this year we will bill you for the milk purchased by your child on a monthly basis. Parents who wish to have their child receive milk will be able to sign up for the service at OPEN CLASSROOM NIGHT. Students will only be billed for the milk they receive.
Sports fees will also be billed to your TADS account when students sign up for a sport. (Sports fees are still $20 per student per sport, with a $100 per family per year cap.)

We look forward to serving your family this year. Please contact Principal Schneck if you have any questions about the above items, or your child's classroom teacher if you have specific questions for them:
