Parent Connection October 26th

Our Parent-Teacher Consultations will be held this evening and tomorrow evening Wednesday, October 28th and Thursday, October 29th from 4-9 p.m. 
If you are unable to make your appointment at the time you arranged on the Signup Genius page, please speak to your child’s teacher to arrange for a meeting at an alternate time.

You are invited to join us for our weekly school chapel service this Thursday, October 29th, from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. Families and friends are invited to come and join us in starting our day with the Lord. Mr. Schneck will lead our chapel service this week. Our current mission offering is designated for Jesus Cares Ministries.

Our Scholastic Book Fair is this week!
Come visit the Faith fellowship hall and browse the variety of books available for kids, and even some for adults! Book Fair hours are:

Thursday, October 29th      5:30-9 p.m.
Saturday, October 31st        10 a.m.-3 p.m.

“Trunk or Treat” is coming up this Friday, October 30th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. This is an event where families can come and enjoy some safe outdoor trick-or-treating and fun activities here In the Faith Lutheran parking lot. Come join us, and bring friends!
  
Faith Lutheran Church and School is hosting a special parenting video-workshop entitled “Have a New Kid by Friday” on three consecutive Wednesday evenings starting on November 4th. These fun and informative video presentations by Christian psychologist Dr. Kevin Leman offer encouragement and advice to parents on how to positively impact the development of your child’s attitude, behavior and character. No matter your situation, Dr. Leman’s presentations will give you tips on helping your child on their road towards maturity.
Two mini-lessons will be offered each evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m., and babysitting will be provided! You are welcome to attend any or all of them! There is no cost for participation, but take-home workbooks will be available for a donation. Bring a friend and join us!

Our Fall Canned Food Drive begins October 30th.  Start bringing your non-perishable food items in to school or bring them by at Trunk or Treat!  Items will be donated to the Food Bank of Alaska.

Toddler Time is an hour of educational activities, structured play and a snack for children ages 0-5 and their caregivers. Toddler Time meets Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m. in the Faith fellowship hall. For more information contact Mrs. Cara Ewings at 907-792-9388.

Junior Choir meets Wednesday, October 28th at 12:20 p.m.

Handchime Choir meets Thursday, October 29th at 12:30 p.m.

Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball (grades 5-8) Thursday 29th from 4:00-5:30 p.m. at the Subway Sport Center in Anchorage. 

The Kindergarten class is taking a field trip to visit Pet Zoo on Friday, October 30th. They will be leaving around 10 a.m. and returning around noon. Please remember to leave car seats!


PTF is meeting Thursday November 5th at 7:00pm.  Come see what is planned for the coming year.
