Thanksgiving Hot Lunch this week!
PTF is providing a free hot lunch to the students and teachers this week. On the menu is ham, corn, rolls, milk and dessert.
The hot lunch is free, but we are asking students to bring a donation of a food item or items which we will collect to assist a family in need in our Hispanic congregation. We encourage you to consider taking this opportunity for your family to share their blessings with those in need.
In order to vary what we collect, we are asking that each classroom focus on a different type of staple. These donations can be brought to school on Hot Lunch Day, Thursday, November 20th.
Suggested donations:
Pre-school and Kindergarten: flour, corn meal, corn flour, sugar, dry noodles, rice
Grades 1-2: Canned vegetables (corn, green beans, hominy, tomatoes, etc.)
Grades 3-5: Canned fruit, fruit juice, apples, oranges
Grades 6-8: Potatoes, Sweet potatoes, carrots, dry beans, cheese, butter

For those who like to plan ahead, we will also be collecting a food offering at our November 26th Thanksgiving chapel service. The chapel collection will be given to local charities for distribution, depending on what we collect (Anchorage and Wasilla Food Banks, Bean’s CafĂ©, etc.). We ask that items for the chapel collection be non-perishable dry or canned goods. These items can be brought for chapel on Wednesday, November 26th.
Give Thanks!

National Geographic Bee
The School Competition for National Geographic Bee will this Wednesday, November 19th.
Finalists from each classroom will be selected on Monday and Tuesday. We will have our final competition at 1:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
Parents are invited to attend this final competition among student classroom champions from grades 3 through 8. Grades K-2 will hold their own classroom competitions.
This Sunday, November 23rd is Faith Congregation’s Special Thanksgiving Service. The English, Hispanic, and Hmong congregations will be joining together for a special worship service at 11:00 a.m. All students in Pre-school through grade 8 will be singing for this special service.
