Chapel Service

You are invited to join us for our weekly chapel service this Thursday, February 19^th from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. Our chapel service message will be presented by Mr. Schneck. This week’s theme: Living for Jesus Means Trusting in God’s Purpose (Esther). Families and friends are invited to come join us in starting our day with the Lord.

Congratulations to our volleyball team for taking first place in the ACSAA Volleyball Tournament last weekend.  Well done, Huskies!

Co-Ed Indoor Soccer starts today. Students from grades 5-8 who wish to participate need to turn in a signed permission slip to Mr. Zarnstorff if they have not already done so. Players must also bring shin guards in order to play.

Practices are from 4:00 to 5:45 p.m. at St. John’s United Methodist Church on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Andy Zanto and Trevor Zarnstorff will be coaching. Mr. Schneck will also be assisting.  The first game night is February 27^th 4-7pm at Lumen Christi. 

YMCA VISITS

Grade K-2 students will visit the YMCA for swimming on Wednesday, February 18^th from 2-3 p.m. Grade 3-8 students will visit the YMCA for swimming on Friday, February 20^th from 2-3 p.m.

Junior Choir will be singing at Faith for the 10:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday, February 22^nd. Choir members should be at Faith by 10:10 a.m. to prepare. Better yet, come and join us for Sunday School and Bible Class at 9:15 a.m.!

We are approaching another Boxtops for Education deadline at the end of the month. Please send in any boxtops you have saved for us. Thanks!

Midweek Lenten services at Faith Lutheran Church begin with an Ash Wednesday service this Wednesday, February 18^th. Families are invited to join us for a soup supper potluck at 6:00 p.m., followed by Ash Wednesday worship at 7:00 p.m.

Bring a soup, salad, dessert, or other dish to pass and join our church family for food and fellowship prior to worship.

The Faith Parents, Teachers, and Friends is hosting a PHO FEED AND BASKET AUCTION to help raise funds for sports uniforms and playground improvements on Saturday, February 21^st  starting at 5:30 p.m. Pastor Moua and his wife Mai will be preparing delicious Pho soup provided free (though donations will be welcome). Come and enjoy this delicious Vietnamese rice noodle, beef, and vegetable soup while participating in a live auction of some uniquely themed baskets. We are still accepting donations of auction items, and the classrooms are each putting together their own baskets to auction off. Can you help? Please contact Tina Henry for more information at 240-0623.

Toddler Time is an hour of educational activities, structured play and a snack for children ages 0-5 and their caregivers. Toddler Time meets on Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m. in the Faith fellowship hall. For more information contact Mrs. Cara Ewings at 792-9388.

PLEASE HELP US KEEP OUR STUDENTS AND FAMILIES SAFE. Parents, when driving in to drop off your child, please be aware of students and others walking in from the parking lot.  Students being dropped off should be dropped off by the church entrance. They can then walk back to the school entrance from there. PLEASE DO NOT STOP TO LET YOUR CHILD OUT IN FRONT OF THE HANDICAPPED SPACES AT THE TOP OF THE SIDEWALK. This forces children to walk around your vehicle when they are coming in, and some are not much higher than the front of your car. The best practice: please park and walk your child in, especially if they are in the lower grades. Let’s all work together to keep our school family safe.
