Chapel Service

You are invited to join us for our weekly chapel service this Thursday, March 19^th from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. Our chapel service message will be presented by Mr. Zarnstorff. This week’s theme: Living for Jesus Means Listening to Good Advice (Rehoboam). Families and friends are invited to come join us in starting our day with the Lord.

Co-Ed Indoor Soccer

Practice this week Tuesday, March 17^th and Thursday, March 19^th 4:00 to 5:45 p.m. at St. John’s United Methodist Church.

Soccer Rally games are Friday, March 20^th from 4-7 p.m. at Lumen Christi.

Pennies for Patients

FLS students continue to collect change for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help raise awareness and support patients and families in the fight against blood cancers.

Students can bring their spare change in at any time until April 3^rd.

PTF Hot Lunch

Hot lunch will be served this week on Thursday, March 19^th. On the menu: MYSTERY STICKS!

Everything in this lunch is either on a stick or stick-shaped! Please use the attached form to indicate if your child wishes to participate.

Midweek Lenten services at Faith Lutheran continue this Wednesday evening, March 18^th.  Families are invited to join us for a soup supper potluck at 6:00 p.m., followed by Lenten worship at 7:00 p.m.

Bring a soup, salad, dessert, or other dish to pass and join our church family for food and fellowship prior to worship.

3^rd Quarter Report Cards will be sent home this Friday, March 20^th.  

Though not required, we encourage parents of Faith Lutheran School to schedule a time to meet with your child's classroom teacher to discuss their progress as we head into the final quarter of our school year. Some conference time has been set aside on the evenings of March 24^th and March 26^th for any parents who wish to meet with the teachers. If these times are not convenient, parents may contact their child's teacher directly to schedule an alternate time. Parents who wish to meet with their child’s classroom teacher are asked to sign up for a time slot at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0a44a5a722a46-parent  (if they have not already done so) to discuss their child's third quarter report and progress. Parents with children in more than one classroom are reminded to sign-up for a slot with each classroom teacher.

Junior Choir Sings

This Sunday, March 22^nd, the Junior Choir will be singing at Peace, Eagle River for their 10:30 a.m. service. Students should be at Peace by 10:15 a.m. to warm up. If you need to arrange a ride for your child, please speak to Mrs. Schneck.

Your whole family is invited for an evening of fun, games, and a chance to satisfy your sweet tooth!

Egg-Stravaganza!

Saturday, March 28^th from 4-6 p.m.

Bring the kids to enjoy a fun-filled time dyeing and decorating eggs for Easter.

Bring your own hard-boiled eggs. All items needed for decorating will be provided, though you may bring special decorating items if you wish.

Alaska WELS Invitational Grand Prix

Sunday, April 12^th starting 4:30 p.m.

The Grand Prix is a pinewood derby open to children and adults. Awards will be given to the fastest and coolest cars for kids and “big kids” divisions. Please see the poster in the fellowship hall and in the school entrance for sign-up information and details on how to get your car kit. Flyers to take home are available as well.

There will be a work day on Saturday, April 4^th from 9 a.m. until noon in the Faith fellowship hall for oarticipants to build and prepare their casrs for the race. Tools and advice from expert racers will be provided.
