3rd Quarter report cards were sent home last Friday. Though not required, we encourage parents of Faith Lutheran School to schedule a time to meet with your child's classroom teacher to discuss their progress as we head into the final quarter of our school year. Some conference time has been set aside this Tuesday and Thursday, March 24th and March 26th, for any parents who wish to meet with the teachers. If these times are not convenient, parents may contact their child's teacher directly to schedule an alternate time. Parents who wish to meet with their child’s classroom teacher are asked to sign up for a time slot at
http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0a44a5a722a46-parent  (if they have not already done so) to discuss their child's third quarter report and progress. Parents with children in more than one classroom are reminded to sign-up for a slot with each classroom teacher.
Please contact Principal Schneck or your child’s teacher if you have any questions.

On Friday, March 27th, The Anchorage Lions Club is offering free vision screening to our students and school families.
The screening involves simply having the child look at a device which takes a photo of the child’s eyes to determine the child’s eye alignment, pupil size, and refractive error. A video of the procedure is available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GQjKTfiQUM&noredirect=1 . This is an interesting tutorial that explains what the screening is looking for and how it is conducted. I encourage you to take a moment to view it.
This vision screening is available for students and families. Even if your child is not a student, you may bring them in for this free screening. To receive the screening for your child, however, you will need to fill out a consent form (sent home last Friday). If you have children not in the school that you would like to have tested, extra consent forms are available in the box by the office.
The screeners will be at the school on Friday, March 27th, from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Students with parental consent will be brought from their classrooms for this very brief screening.
Parents of children not enrolled in the school may bring their children in at any time from 1:30-3:30 p.m. for testing as well.
Please return the vision screening consent form to the school as soon as possible. Children cannot be tested on Friday without parental consent.
We thank the Anchorage Lions Club for providing this valuable service. If you have any questions, please speak to Gabrielle Bauer (903-0097).
