event for families on Saturday!
Co-Ed Indoor Soccer practices this week on Tuesday, April 5th
and Thursday, April 7th from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Taku Elementary.
The ACSAA Indoor Soccer Tournament is
this Friday, April 8th. The tournament wil be played at UAA’s Wells
Fargo Building on Providence Drive from 4-7 p.m.
Come cheer for your Huskies!
As this is a tournament week, we also
have some Spirit Days Planned:
Wednesday, April 6th –
Beach Day
Dress for fun in the sun! Hawaiian shirts, shorts, etc.
(No swimsuits.) Make sure to bring sweat pants or snow pants for outside
recess.
Thursday, April 7th – Camo
Day
Where did the students go? Wear camouflage clothing of
any kid.
Friday, April 8th – School
Pride/Teal and Gold
Dress in your school colors if you have them, or wear
your school logo t-shirt, sweat shirt, or if you are a Faith athlete, your
Faith sports uniform. Go Huskies!
Please note:
These are not “dress down” days. Students not dressed for the spirit day theme
should wear their school uniforms.
Junior
Choir meets this week Wednesday, April 6th at 12:20 p.m.
You
are invited to join us for our weekly school chapel service this Thursday, April
7th, from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. Families and friends are
invited to come and join us in starting our day with the Lord! The Handchime Choir will be playing for
this chapel service. Handchime members are asked to be at school and in the
sanctuary by 8:15 a.m. to warm up.
Handchime choir meets this week on Thursday, April 7th
at 12:30 p.m. Thank you, students and Mrs. Zarnstorff, for your
service in our chapel worship last week.
Grades 3-5 will be
visiting the Loussac library in the afternoon on Friday, April 8th. Students are reminded
to bring their library cards and any books that are due.
Track for both boys and
girls is scheduled to begin April 12th. Track is open to
students in grades 4-8. We need volunteers to help coach and assist. If you are
willing and able to help us out, please contact Mr. Zarnstorff.
Friday was the last official day for
Pennies for Patients collection. However, if you have forgotten to return your coin box,
you can still bring it in to your classroom
by Wednesday morning. The results will be announced after chapel on
Thursday. Thank you for supporting the work of the Leukemia and Lymphoma
Society!
The following are invitations to our school family from
Faith Lutheran Church events this week:
Making Life Better
is a Bible class led by Pastor Ewings in which participants will discover how
God has made their lives better. This
class, covering the basic truths of the Christian faith, is for newcomers to
the faith and long-time Christians alike. Making Life Better continues this
evening, Monday, April 4th at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome!
Toddler Time is an hour of educational
activities, structured play and a snack for children ages 0-5 and their
caregivers. Toddler
Time meets Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m. in the Faith fellowship hall. For more

Men’s Bible Study meets Saturday, April
9th at Barbie’s Café on Lake Otis Parkway at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Ewings is currently leading the
study “Five Things You Can Do to Live a Jesus-Centered Life”. Please contact
Pastor Ewings at 792-9788 to sign up or order a book.
Ladies Craft Day on Saturday, April 9th from 10:00 a.m. to noon. This month bring a new craft idea to
learn. We will enjoy a devotion and snacks as we work on our projects. Bring
any project to work on even if it isn’t new. Contact Claire Zarnstorff at
