A New Year’s Reminder
Welcome back to school! It is truly a blessing to have a few days off from the routine of school, just as it is when you have a few days away your place of work. I hope you had some time to relax and enjoy some family time, maybe to do something out of the routine, something special.
It is truly a blessing to come back to school, too. I heard on the radio and television announcements similar to this, “Sorry, kids, it’s time to head back to school.” As if that is something bad. On the contrary, learning should be a life-long activity.
Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, King Solomon set a purpose and a theme for the book of Proverbs when he wrote that these proverbs would be good “for attaining wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of insight, for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair; for giving prudence to the simple and discretion to the young;… The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.”
May God give each of us the desire to learn more every day, especially more about Him and his love for us.
Report cards will be sent home on Friday, January 13th.
Cold season is upon us! Please bring a box or two of tissues for your child’s class.
