Parent Connection May 13

We Believe
Everyone believes something. Some people say and believe that there is no God. They do not read or believe the Bible which tells about God and what He has done for us. But they can see evidences of God and His wonderful works all around them. The glory of the sun, moon, and stars shows the glory of the Maker. The intricate movement of the planets around the sun shows the wisdom of the Creator. The regular movement of the tides shows the power of the “laws of nature” established by the omnipotent God. The growth of new plants from seemingly dead seeds, the amazing wonders of the human body, even the mysterious beauty of a snowflake all tell us: There Is A God!
Even with all the evidence, there are still those who deny the existence of God. In Psalm 14:1, God declares, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’”
Knowledge of God is essential but believing that there is a God is not enough for our salvation. God the Father sent His Son into the world to do for us what we could not do for ourselves. Through that Son we learn about the one true God and what He has done for us and will do for us. We believe that Jesus is our Savior from sin, death, and the devil. We believe that He suffered the punishment we deserved for our sins. We believe that we will live with Him in His Kingdom when our lives here are finished. Some may think us fools for believing this but this is God’s gift of love to us.

Sports Athletes
Track uniforms should be washed and returned as soon as possible.
If anyone still has a uniform from another sport, please return it.

Thank you!
The teachers and staff would like to say thank you to the parents and PTF members for our decorated doors, our delicious breakfasts and lunches, and our relaxing dinner last week.  Words cannot express how honored and blessed we feel.
Thank you, also, to parents who brought their children to sing in church last Sunday.  The congregation really enjoys hearing our students sing.

Parking Lot Sale
It is time for our annual parking lot sale.  This year’s sale is on Saturday, June 1st, 10:00am – 3:00pm. Setup begins at 7:30am.  Not only do we need your donation of items for the sale, but we also need volunteers to run the sale.  We’re not asking you to stay all day, you’re welcome to stop by and help for a couple of hours.
If you have items to donate, you can drop them off here on May 23rd and 24th between 9:00am and 3:00pm, on the morning of June 1st, or by appointment 563-3499.  Outside of those times, we cannot guarantee anyone will be at the church.

Blood Drive
In conjunction with the parking lot sale, we are also hosting a blood drive Saturday, June 1st, 10:00am-3:00pm. A donation sign-up sheet is posted at the top of the stairs in the church entryway. If you are unable to donate blood, we need volunteers to provide bars or cookies that day.  Signup sheets for baked goods are posted both on the school bulletin board and by the donation signup sheet.  Contact Amy Mozolik with questions at amymozolik@gmail.com or 414-430-7669.
